Why Kara
The brand has evolved.The mission has always been freedom.
Kara’s journey to creating freedom started after she had checked all the boxes and done everything she was “supposed” to do. She graduated from law school and started working as an associate in a boutique securities litigation law firm. While waiting for her bar results, Kara found out she had passed a different test- a pregnancy test.
Becoming a mother forced her to rethink what success actually meant. Determined not to miss out on her son’s milestones, Kara decided to start Mary Kay business, selling skincare and color cosmetics as a licensed attorney, buying her freedom for just $100. That lipstick business eventually funded Kara's law firm that is now 17 years later a thriving South Florida personal injury firm.
Kara subsequently launched her Laptop Lifestyle Lawyer® brand, where she began helping other women attorneys create greater financial, time and lifestyle freedom with their law degrees. The Main Karacter™ movement is the natural evolution of that journey—expanding the conversation beyond career and business and helping women reclaim their power, choose themselves and intentionally create lives that give them greater freedom, confidence, choice and ownership over what comes next.
